For more than 15 years I lived across the country from my family, missing milestones and special moments. I sent gifts hoping to make those occasions feel closer, but traditional gifts never quite captured what I wanted to say.
Basket of Smiles was created to send thoughtful, joyful gifts when words aren’t enough.
Deciding to forgo traditional gifts I tapped into my creativity and started doing something different—instead of writing a check I made money trees or bouquet of flowers from dollar bills. From there it bloomed into baskets for whatever life events came along. Friends and coworkers soon caught on to my talent asking me to make baskets for them—and a dream began to take shape. When I retired, I was going to start a gift basket company.
Earlier this year I traded my keyboard in for ribbons, bows and baskets. I am excited to help you when words aren’t enough.
